Chiropractic Back Treatment mid back soft adjustment

Your FIRST Visit

When you arrive . . .

By attending, you have taken your first step toward achieving improved health and an improved quality of life.  Chiropractic care is likely to be different to any other form of intervention you might have tried.  Many people experience positive improvements in musculoskeletal conditions that they have suffered with for many years.

Patient History
You will be asked to complete a few forms so that you can explain your current complaint and health status, how it is impacting your quality of life, and to outline your goals.  Your details are confidential.  No one else will be able to see your notes without your prior consent.

Consultation
The Chiropractor will then undertake a more thorough investigation of your history, and of your health, in order to determine what examination procedures will benefit your specific needs.

Examination
A thorough physical exam follows, including postural and spinal analysis, orthopaedic and neurological testing, and X-ray (if necessary).  The Chiropractor will determine if you are a suitable candidate for care.  If your Chiropractor determines that care is inappropriate for your condition, they will attempt to make a referral or recommendation to a more appropriate health professional.

Your SECOND Visit

Report of Findings

After your Chiropractor has reviewed the findings of your initial consultation, they will attempt to explain your problem in simple language to help you gain a complete understanding of what is involved:  During your report of findings you will learn what is causing your problem, how Chiropractic can help, how long it will take to correct, and what costs are likely to be involved.

Clear goals will be established which you and your Chiropractor will work towards throughout your schedule of care.  Patients are encouraged to take an active role in their own recovery, and on-going education provided by the clinic is an important part of care.  This process encourages patients to make healthier lifestyle choices which are known to correlate with a better response to care and improved long-term health.

Re-examinations, Progress Reviews

Reviews of your progress are scheduled at regular intervals in your care.  The purpose of these reviews is to assess your progress, review your goals and to deal with any issues which may arise, in order to optimise your continued recovery and healing.

It is our aim to enable you to enjoy a better quality of life then you currently experience, through pain reduction, improved mobility, reduced stress, and improved health.  We encourage patients to make educated lifestyle choices through an unbiased discussion of the treatment options available.

Many people decide that a long-term approach to health management is most sensible, and elect to become regular 'Wellness' patients after their initial phase of care has been completed.  They enjoy the accrued benefits of regular Chiropractic adjustments, nutritional advice, exercise management, and lifestyle advice.
